Name: Jeff Giles
Occupation: Civil Engineer
Location: Tampa, Florida
Sport(s): Running, Triathlon, Weight Training, CrossFit

Level: Train daily, 10-12 tri’s a year, 8-10 marathons a year, serious weight training fanatic.

Interests: Movies, eating, cooking, dancing, social events, friends, etc.

How did you hear about Hornet Juice: Rina contacted me and asked if I wouldn’t mind trying it.

How do you take Hornet Juice: I mix it was either water or half-Gatorade/half-water. I take it before a long workout or race.

What do you think of Hornet Juice: I think it has improved my abilities to keep my muscles working at optimum levels for a long time. Positive amino acid uptake has allowed me to become faster. I think part of the reason I just ran a 28-minute PR at Marine Corps Marathon (3:30 as opposed to 3:58) was from the Hornet Juice I took before the race. I haven’t really stepped up my marathon training much, aside from some light speed work. I think my choices of nutrition, which include Hornet Juice, protein powder, and carbo/electrolyte drinks, really helped me achieve that 3:30. I can’t wait to see what it does for me at my Half Ironman in 3 days!!

Any other comments, opinions or words of wisdom to share to the world: I was reluctant to try the Hornet Juice at first, but after using it a few times without changing much else, I really do believe that it helps me stay strong for longer periods of time. I say it can’t hurt to at least try it a few times.

Sport(s): Triathlon, Running

How did you hear about Hornet Juice?: Brett Blankner (Zen & Art of Triathlon podcast)

How do you take Hornet Juice: Generally With Cytomax on long training raides/runs. Average 1 packet per 2-3 hour duraction. Same for Triathlon competition, i.e. 3-4 packets for a 6 hour half-iron.

What do you think of Hornet Juice?: Notice difference in second half of a long “event”. Always take with Cytomax so far which has some similar type of nutrition. Definite long duration “jolt” and better recovery.

Occupation: Management
Location: Sartell, MN
Sport(s): Triathlon, Ice Hockey

Level: Weekend Warrior training for an Ironman (Florida 2007).

Interests: Fishing, Hunting, Outdoors, Coaching Hockey

How did you hear about Hornet Juice?: My Coach, Jared Berg

How do you take Hornet Juice: I take it before and during long rides/runs and I mix it with Gookinaid Hydralyte.

What do you think of Hornet Juice? I have been very Impressed with my endurance level and speed when taking Hornet Juice during my longer events and training sessions. I am a “Clydesdale”
athlete so I present extra opportunity to convert fat to energy. I am 6′3″ and was 214 pounds (one year ago). Now, I have dropped to 194 pounds and I believe the Hornet Juice has been a catalyst to my success. I am no longer a clydesdale, so I will have to compete in my age group and I feel ready to do that.

Athlete Profile: Mike Fox

Name: Mike Fox
Occupation: IT Consultant
Location: New Jersey
Sport(s): Running (Marathon, Ultra Marathon), Triathlon

Level: Age Group competitor.

Interests: Spending time with my family. Going to movies with my kids. Traveling to new places.

How did you hear about Hornet Juice?: A friend tried it and liked it and so I thought I’d give it a try. I’m glad I did.

How do you take Hornet Juice: I use Hornet Juice for my hard workouts (long bike rides and runs) and when racing. I mix it with Crank Sports E-Fuel. I mix one packet in a 24oz of E-Fuel. I go through
about one bike bottle per hour on hard traiing rides. On long runs I carry a mixture in several 10oz flask carried on a Fuel Belt. I go through about one flask per hour on the run. When racing at high intensity I take it about 30-60 minutes before race start. I consume one packet in 24oz of e-Fuel post race for recovery (it makes a big difference).

Any memorable event/s using Hornet Juice?: I used Hornet Juice during the 2007 Ironman Wisconsin Triathlon. I was hoping if ALL went well I might be able to finish in 12:30-12:45. Instead I
finished in 11:48 and I owe a lot of it to the use of Hornet Juice. My legs felt great coming off the 112 mile bike ride and I never felt close to bonking during the marathon. The first and last two miles of the were my fastest miles of the marathon. Even better, I had minimal soreness the next day. I was able to bound up and down stairs without very little discomfort. Never before have I been able to go up or down stairs that easily after doing only a marathon.

Any other comments, opinions or words of wisdom to share to the world?:

23121-photo.jpg“I have found some good success with the product so far! I used it at an Olympic Triathlon and found a great delay in the onset of fatigue thanks to Hornet Juice! I felt stronger through the whole race while not feeling fatigue in my legs. I’m really looking forward to using it at an upcoming half-iron distance race to see just how far I can push myself with the help of Hornet Juice! Thanks for a great product!”

Hornet Juice Testimonial: Troy Bigelow

July 6, 2007

Congrats to Troy Bigelow for taking no prisoners at the recent Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon! Here’s what he emailed us today…

“… My first race test with Hornet Juice was the Accenture Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon on June 3rd 2007.  With such a high profile event I really wanted to do my best.  Due to logistics, I ended up only using the Hornet Juice leaving T1 and again leaving T2. Unlike my previous races, I felt totally energized throughout the event and even had more left than I expected at the end of the run even though I would like to have had added one more shot of HJ about half way through the run.  I’m very average and race for improved health and for fun.  I wanted to break four hours and not kill myself in the process.  I was very happy finishing over seventeen minutes under my goal time even with a flat tire on the bike!   Next time I’ll be better prepared for the swim segment and have my Hornet Juice ready to go there as well.I’ve got my first Half IM distance event in a few weeks and have figured how to better utilize Hornet Juice in my nutrition plan to maximize it’s benefit throughout the event.  Thanks for an awesome product and I’ll let you know how the next one goes. Best regards,

Troy Bigelow
