What is VAAM?
VAAM is the first and original product derived from giant hornets. Like Hornet Juice, it is a powdered sports drink that you mix with water or your favorite electrolyte drink, which you take before, during and after exercise, to give you increased energy, endurance and improved recovery time. VAAM works as a trigger for the oxidation of fat, which provides you with an abundant and long lasting source of energy.

How different is Hornet Juice from VAAM?
Both VAAM and Hornet Juice are both based from the giant hornet’s nutritional liquid. VAAM is the first product that was launched in 1995 and is only available in Japan. The difference in the ingredients are the sweetening and flavoring agents.Unlike VAAM, Hornet Juice does not contain stevia. Stevia is an artificial sweetener that is widely used in Japan but not FDA-approved as a sweetening agent and food additive. Hornet Juice contains Sucralose instead which does not have the bitter after taste that Stevia has.

VAAM comes in grapefruit flavor while Hornet Juice comes in Berry flavor.

The serving size for Hornet Juice is larger (15 grams compared with VAAM’s 10.5 grams).

Hornet Juice costs less than VAAM since it is not manufactured in Japan but in New Zealand.
